The Museum of Geological Formations of Meteora is located in Kastraki village and is housed in the old building of the Primary School of Kastraki, which is a historical monument under preservation.

When the visitor enters the museum, he is transported 30 millions years ago and observes the geographic location of Meteora as a marine area. Then, after a brief presentation of the meanings of the tectonic elevation and the erosion, the current formation of Meteora rocks is presented to the visitor. The presentation in the museum is carried out with the assistance of modern audiovisual media, while there are also exhibitions of fossils, minerals and rocks from all over Greece.
